LifeReplay · Powerful Thinking, Inc.
Your memories, and your privacy.
Effective October 4, 2026
LifeReplay is operated by Powerful Thinking, Inc. This policy describes how we handle information when you create, contribute to, or view a story.
What we collect
Account holders provide an email address, a name, and a password handled by our authentication provider. Stories may contain photographs, video, voice recordings, written memories, captions, dates, and names. Contributors provide a display name and the memories they choose to submit.
Our hosting providers also process technical information needed to run and protect the service, such as IP addresses, browser information, request times, and error logs. Sign-in cookies keep you authenticated. A contribution credential is stored in your browser so you can return to manage your own submissions.
How we use it
We use this information to save stories, authenticate accounts, accept and review contributions, render downloadable videos, serve the sharing links you create, respond to requests, and prevent misuse. LifeReplay does not sell family media or use it for advertising targeting. The replay editor combines your own media and words. If you request automatic transcription, audio from the selected recording is sent through Vercel AI Gateway to OpenAI to produce draft words and timing. You can review and correct that draft before including its captions in a replay. Transcription does not replace or clone your original voice.
We keep basic first-party product events in a 90-day measurement window and remove older events through scheduled cleanup. These events include a story being created, a contribution being saved, or a finished replay being produced. The player can report that playback started or ended, using a temporary playback identifier. These events exclude story text, media, email addresses, IP addresses, and invitation tokens. They help us understand whether the service works; playback reports are not proof that someone watched every moment. The player skips these reports when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control preference.
Who can see a story
Original media is stored in private storage. An organizer can see contributions submitted to their project, including memories awaiting review. A contributor can see their own submissions. A contribution link allows submissions to one project; it does not open the organizer’s library.
An owner can invite a specific verified account as a viewer or editor. Viewers can watch and download finished replays. Editors can access the story workspace and its originals. Removing account access stops new requests; it does not recall copies already downloaded.
A viewing link lets anyone who has that link watch and download the finished replay, including people to whom it is forwarded. Revoking a link prevents new access through that link. Temporary media download addresses already issued may remain usable for up to ten minutes. Copies someone has already downloaded cannot be recalled.
Service providers
We use Supabase for accounts, the database, and private media storage; Vercel for website hosting, video processing and the AI Gateway; and OpenAI for optional speech-to-text processing. These providers process information to provide their services to us. The application database is hosted in the United States. Processing and technical support may involve other locations. Authorized operators may access information when needed to provide support, investigate a problem, protect the service, or meet legal obligations.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit your profile, download account details, export a project’s originals, revoke invitations and viewing links, delete a story, or delete your account. A guest can withdraw their contributions from the same browser for 30 days after joining. After that session expires, contact the organizer or the support channel below for help with a withdrawal request. Keep downloads of memories that matter to you.
Project and account deletion revoke access before media cleanup. Stored files are removed in the background, with repeated checks for uploads that finish after deletion was requested. These checks may continue for more than a day while earlier uploads expire; they do not restore access to deleted stories. Operational logs and provider backups may remain until their normal retention periods expire, or longer where necessary for legal obligations, security, or resolving a dispute. LifeReplay is not a promise of permanent archival storage.
People in your photographs
Only upload media you have the right to share. Consider the wishes of the people shown or heard, especially when making a viewing link. Accounts and guest contribution sessions are intended for adults aged 18 and over. Children should not create accounts or contribute directly.
Questions and requests
Account holders can use account settings to export or delete their information. During the private testing period, additional requests go through the LifeReplay operator who provided your access. Public support contact details will be added before open registration.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes to how existing information is used will be communicated through the service or account contact details, as appropriate.
